About The Cookie Museum

The Cookie Museum is a cultural institution based in Austin, Texas — the only museum on earth that invites you to destroy the exhibits. Founded by Claude McIver, The Cookie Museum curates historically significant ingredients and transforms them into edible artifacts: cookies designed not to be admired, but consumed. Because the story only lives when someone tastes it.

The museum is organized into three wings. The Archive Wing recovers the recipes and culinary records of the past. The Heritage Wing honors the ingredients that sustained civilizations — the crops, the communities, and the knowledge encoded in cultivation. The Concepts Wing creates the culinary classics of tomorrow, translating cultural stories and composed flavor experiences into new edible mediums.

The Cookie Museum also serves as a cultural curator for institutional brands — designing bespoke edible exhibit collections that amplify the stories of museums, restaurants, venues, and brands for their audiences. This practice is called Cultural Alchemy: the transmutation of a brand's story into something irreversible — a flavor experience that lives in the person who tastes it long after they've left the room.
